In addition to passing B.Com. Final examination, a candidate, in order to be eligible for a B.Com degree, is also required to get three months continuous practical training with a reputed business concern approved by the principal and to produce a certificate to that effect. The certificate shall be approved by the principal of the college. The candidates are required to undergo the training immediately after their B.Com examination failing which the college may refuse to arrange training afterwards. Rawalpindi College of Commerce enjoys the best facilities of practical training with the kind cooperation of Rawalpindi and Islamabad Chambers of Commerce and Industries.
An employment bureau has been established in the college which serves as a liaison between the graduates and the prospective employers. It also looks after the students during their training programme.
Parent Teacher Meeting
At Rawalpindi College of Commerce there is sharp awareness of the need to keep the parents fully informed of the progress of their children and of the various developments which take place. It is understood that it is through Parent/Teacher contact that firm relationship and understanding is established. As such, regular Parent/Teacher meetings are held in the college whereby parents are given an opportunity to come and meet the teachers to discuss progress and other matters pertaining to the welfare of the students.
We believe that parent teacher communication plays a vital role in character building and grooming of the students. For this purpose, we strongly mail Monthly attendance and progress reports to the parents. Parents are asked to visit college regularly. College administration has decided to deal strictly with such students who would fail to bring their parents when asked to do so.
